Learn, laugh, live
South Lakes u3a is a friendly, lively organisation for people stepping back from full-time work or from raising a family. We have over 1,200 members most of whom live in Kendal and the surrounding villages.
We provide opportunities for learning, leisure and social interaction. All activities are organised by volunteer members in a relaxed, sociable and informal atmosphere.
With over 70 active groups our members get together to enjoy activities from chess and table top games, sports, films, talks and discussions to arts, crafts and literature and fine dining. Surrounded by beautiful countryside it is not surprising that we also have 12 regular walking groups to suit all abilities.
