South Lakes u3a committee got together this morning to say farewell to four members who are leaving the committee this year. Over coffee and cakes we said farewell to Anne Urqehart who has kept the committee in order as minutes secretary for several years; Sharon Miller who has done wonders in cleaning up our membership data base; Jeff Hickin who has worked hard to put our u3a finances into a much healthier financial position and to Colin Edwards who has been our Beacon manager for many years.

We welcomed Dave Cooper as the new minutes secretary, Mark Aldridge as the new assistant membership cecretary and Derek Ridgway who is returning to the assistant treasurer post. You can see details of the current committee here
