Your membership subscription lets you attend our programme of monthly meetings and talks and participate in other talks and activities organised by our interest groups.

As a member you can:

• enjoy our programme of talks and social events during the year
• you can join as many interest groups as you wish
• be kept up to date with regular email newsflashes
• receive a copy of our Annual Handbook

Trial membership

If you are interested in joining us but would like to find out more, you can attend two monthly or group meetings before you decide. You can just turn up to a monthly meeting or other talks open to all members, but please get in touch with the Group Coordinator before going along to a group meeting, to check that there is a vacancy.

A small fee to contribute to room hire costs, usually £2.00, is charged for each attendance at group meetings (but only where these are held in rented rooms).

Our interest groups

From gentle walks to fell top adventures, visits to gardens, fine wine and dining, energetic outdoor sports or dancing to more gentler indoor past times and not forgetting language groups and wide ranging talks to challenge the intellect - there are groups to cater for all interests.
