We are a friendly, inquisitive group who scour the media for topical research and psychological themes. Recently we have looked at the claims that dementia can be delayed or even prevented and that your gut health can influence your mental health. We have also looked at Persuasion in verbal and non verbal messages. Members are encouraged to discuss research findings and whether they relate to personal experience.

If you have ever read headlines such as:

  • ‘The stresses of modern life are fueling the rise in depression’
  • ‘Electrical brain stimulation can improve learning’
  • ‘Playing a musical instrument can prevent dementia’

and wondered "What evidence is there for this? How valid is that evidence? Does this tell me anything useful for my life?"

If so, this group is for you!
