We look at the Hanoverian/Georgian period through presentations on monarchs, well-known groups and characters of the time plus many aspects of social life.

Over the last two years we've enjoyed talks on George I + George II, the Lunar Society, James Watt, Developments in Medicine, The Gothic Novel, Bathing Machines, Duelling, Turnpikes, Admiral Anson, Postal Services + many other topics.

We're lucky enough to now have a strong "presenting team" and in the near-ish future we're hoping to hear about George III, Shelley, Canals, The Gordon Riots, Burke and Hare, Handel, Furniture, and much more.

The participation has been wonderful - just what the U3A should be about.  So, if you can cope with the "surprise" of "what will it be about this time?" then we'd love to welcome you to our very friendly group.
