We visit gardens at different seasons, maybe appreciate flowers in the area for snowdrops, bluebells and wood anenomes. There is a sharing of each other's interest in plants as well as sharing of plants, seeds and learning.
Before Christmas we have a festive meeting, when we make Christmas decorations hopefully from plant materials. Last year we enjoyed Sizergh Castle's light show.
Sometimes we share holiday photos of wild flowers and gardens visited both in the UK and abroad. As a focus, and with the recently renewed interest in his gardens, we have been visiting some of Thomas Mawson designed gardens.
The group is kept fairly small so that we can meet in each other's homes and make transport easier.
A certain amount of fitness is required to cope with uneven ground and some walking distance including steps and slopes
Please be aware that visits to gardens and other external venues may require walking on uneven paths and steps. Please check for suitability of the venue if you have limited mobility issues
