14 members of the South Lakes u3a Tuesday Walkers Off Beat Group met at Langden Beck car park for an exploration of the lovely Trough of Bowland. Our walk took us up Rams Clough to a cairned high point of just under 420 metres, near Whin Fell, where we had lunch with glorious views in all directions, and fluffy white cumulus clouds above, as well as intermittent warm sunshine. A steep descent took us down to Brenand Farm, from where we headed south down the gurgling and sparkling Dunsop River to Dunsop Bridge. From here it was a short walk along the road back to our parked cars beside Langden Beck.
