Dressing the Christmas Tree at the Parish Church

To everyone at SLu3a, we are very happy to let you know we have a charity Christmas tree at Kendal Parish Church Christmas Tree Festival 2025, which runs from Friday 28thth November to Sunday 28th December.

This year the theme is 'Christmas Carols' – The SLu3a Artistic Expression group has chosen “Away in a Manger” and members of the group have been busy creating decorations for our tree.

The church hosts 30 charity Christmas trees, all beautifully decorated to a specific theme. Visitors can pay for tokens and vote for their favourite tree/charity and each charity receives a monetary donation when the festival is over.

It is a very popular festival and everyone is welcome to visit as many times as they like.

There are also handmade items on sale, including jam, chutneys, crafts and refreshments also available. You can stay as long as you like, there is always someone to chat to. A lovely way to start Christmas and to support your U3A
