South Lakes u3a members enjoy a wide range of activities. Whether we are attending meetings, going on visits to places of interest or engaging in more physical activities such as hill walking, cycling, dance or sports, we all need to take individual responsibility for our personal safety and the security of our equipment and possessions. No-one should undertake activities considered unsafe for them as individuals
Some group events may involve visits to gardens or other places of interest. These might involve walking over uneven terrain. If you have mobility issues please check access details with the event coordinator before attending
All recognised u3a groups have Public liability Insurance but this does not provide personal accident insurance.
We recommend that members set up a ICE ( In Case of Emergency) contact on their mobile phones or carry emergency contact details with them.
If you have any pre-existing medical condition that may be impacted by an activity you should notify the co-ordinator / leader of an outing.
